Crop Video

Crop a video to a specific pixel region.

Specify a crop rectangle (left, top, width, height) and download the cropped video.

Video cropping is used to remove unwanted elements from the frame — letterbox bars, camera watermarks, distracting backgrounds, or irrelevant edges. It's also used to reframe footage for a different aspect ratio, such as converting 16:9 to 9:16 for vertical social media.

The crop dimensions must fit within the original video frame. If you enter values that extend beyond the frame boundaries, the conversion will fail. Use our File Metadata viewer to check the video's original dimensions first if needed.

Cropping changes the aspect ratio of the video unless you crop symmetrically from all sides. This affects how the video displays in players that expect a specific ratio, so plan your crop coordinates carefully.

How to use Crop Video

  1. Step 1: Upload your video (MP4, WebM, MOV, or AVI).
  2. Step 2: Enter the left offset, top offset, width, and height in pixels that define the region you want to keep. The origin (0, 0) is the top-left corner of the frame.
  3. Step 3: Click "Convert now" and download the cropped MP4.
