Flip Video

Mirror a video horizontally or vertically in one click.

Upload a video and flip it horizontally (left-to-right mirror) or vertically (upside-down). Output is a re-encoded MP4.

Flipping a video horizontally creates a mirror-image effect, useful when footage was recorded in front of a mirror, when text appears backwards, or when you want a symmetrical creative effect. Vertical flip turns the video upside-down — less common, but occasionally needed for projection mapping or installation art.

The flip is applied using ffmpeg's vflip and hflip filters. Only the video stream is re-encoded; the audio stream is copied directly without re-encoding, preserving quality and keeping conversion fast.

Flipping is different from rotating. Rotate changes the orientation 90°; flip mirrors the image along an axis. You can combine both by flipping first and then using the Rotate Video tool on the result.

How to use Flip Video

  1. Step 1: Upload your video (MP4, MOV, AVI, or WebM).
  2. Step 2: Choose the flip direction: horizontal (left-right mirror) or vertical (upside-down flip).
  3. Step 3: Click "Convert now" and download your flipped MP4. The audio is preserved unchanged.
