Rotate Image
Rotate a JPG, PNG, or WebP image 90°, 180°, or 270°.
Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP and rotate it clockwise by 90°, 180°, or 270°. Output format matches the input.
Cameras and phones embed orientation metadata (EXIF) that some apps read and some ignore, leading to photos displaying sideways or upside-down in unexpected contexts. Rotating the image permanently bakes the correct orientation into the pixel data so it displays correctly everywhere.
Our tool uses Sharp for lossless rotation of PNG and WebP files. JPG rotation requires re-encoding (since JPEG cannot be losslessly rotated at arbitrary angles), so the output is re-encoded at 92% quality — visually identical for virtually all photos.
After rotating, you can further process the image with our compress, resize, or crop tools without any additional quality loss to the video or PNG output.
How to use Rotate Image
- Step 1: Upload your JPG, PNG, or WebP.
- Step 2: Choose your rotation angle: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 270° clockwise (equivalent to 90° counter-clockwise).
- Step 3: Click "Convert now" and download the corrected image.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does rotating change the file format?
No. JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG, and WebP stays WebP.
Is image quality affected?
For PNG and WebP, rotation is lossless. For JPG, the image is re-encoded at high quality (92), so there is minimal quality loss.
